VASJ’s Academic Scholars group recently went to the Holden Arboretum.

It was one year ago this Memorial Day weekend that the Viking community came together to dedicate a monument honoring all Viking veterans and remembering six Vikings who were killed in action. By November of 2016, a seventh Viking, Richard Thomas ’57 was identified as having been killed and his plaque was added to the monument on Veterans Day.

The song “Go Make a Difference” is sung at many VASJ Masses and prayer services. The lyrics say, “Go make a difference. You can make a difference. Go make a difference in the world.”

"Throughout these years of high school, I have learned more about myself and who I want to be when I grow up. VASJ has given me all of the things I need to become that person."

Students, faculty, staff, and parents at VASJ, came together to celebrate the 2016-17 student achievements.
