By Brea Cowan '12 During the week of October 3 through the 6, VASJ celebrated its annual Spirit Week which included the whole school to participate in various themes leading up to this year’s most highly anticipated homecoming for the Viking Village.
The VASJ students, staff and alums collected over 200 pounds of items to be donated to the USO for sorting, packing and shipping to our service members overseas.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011, Principal Dave Csank and Communications and Media Coordinator Emily Robinson, took seven VASJ students to a special Cuyahoga County Council Meeting where they were recognized for their services this summer building a catalogue of over 1,300 veteran graves at All Souls Cemetery.
