Flint Porter was introduced to the game of soccer at the age of 2 by his mother. By the time he was in second grade, he knew it was a sport he loved to play and couldn’t get enough of. “Right away, the feel of the ball at my feet and putting it in the goal was like a high for me,” Porter said.

The VASJ soccer team remained red hot as the Vikings defeated Trinity and Streetsboro last week. No VASJ player is hotter than Flint Porter. In a 4-2 victory over Trinity, Porter scored two goals.
It was a big week for the Vikings on the pitch as the soccer team defeated rival Euclid and went on the road to take down Lake Ridge Academy to complete an undefeated week. VASJ topped host Euclid, 3-1, behind goals from Flint Porter, Chad Porter and Jack Gallagher. Goalkeeper Connor Gail had 10 saves.
