Homecoming & Spirit Week 2012 will take place October 8-13, 2012

WARNING LABEL: Failure to follow dress down guidelines may result in forfeiting any and all future dress down opportunities. Keep a set of standard dress code clothes in your locker just in case you are told you did not dress down properly. Better to be safe than sorry! The alternative is that your parents get called.

October 8, Monday, Middle School Day - $2.00. Wear sweatshirts, hoodies, T-shirts, jackets, pants, or your old school uniform that represent your days back in middle school. What you wear must have on it the school name or logo. Sweats or athletic pants are allowed if they represent your old school with the name or logo. Skirts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. No shorts. Jeans are allowed. All shoes must cover the entire foot. Athletic shoes allowed. No sandals, flip-flops, or alike. You must abide by the dress down code on page 42 of the Student Handbook. If you do not dress down you must abide by the standard dress code.

October 9, Tuesday, Favorite Sports Team Day - $2.00. Wear a sweatshirt, hoodie, or t-shirt of your favorite athletic team. Your shirt must have the logo or name of the team on it. Sweats or athletic pants are allowed if they represent your team with the name or logo. No shorts or non-school skirts. Jeans are allowed. All shoes must cover the entire foot. Athletic shoes allowed. No sandals, flip-flops, or alike. You must abide by the dress down code on page 42 of the Student Handbook. If you do not dress down you must abide by the standard dress code.

October 10, Wednesday, Backwards/Neon/Tacky Day - $2.00. Mix and match your clothing, wear bright colors, wear your clothes inside out, wear something goofy, wear something totally not in style anymore. It is a crazy day for clothing. Be creative! Shorts, sweats, and hoodies are allowed. Shorts and skirts must be no more than 3 inches above the knee. All shoes must cover the entire foot. Athletic shoes allowed. October 11, Thursday, Viking Spirit Day - Free. Wear any VASJ logo shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, or jacket over jeans or school pants/skirts. No sweats, athletic pants, shorts or non-school skirts. All shoes must cover the entire foot. Athletic shoes allowed. No sandals, flip-flops, or alike. You must abide by the dress down code on page 42 of the Student Handbook. If you do not dress down you must abide by the standard dress code.

Powder-Puff Game – 2 pm. Let’s have some traditional fall fun as the junior girls try to beat the senior girls in flag football!!! Be sure to invite your parents to come to the game.

October 12, Friday, Pajama Day - $2.00. Wear your pajama’s for the whole day. Pajamas are not sweats, athletic shorts, or other clothing - you must wear pajamas - both for your top and bottom. Check pajamagram.com for examples of pajamas for girls and boys. Be appropriate with what you wear. No shorts. All shoes must cover the entire foot. Athletic shoes allowed. No sandals, flip-flops, or alike. You must abide by the dress down code on page 42 of the Student Handbook. If you do not dress down you must abide by the standard dress code.

Homecoming Dance – Tizzano’s Party Center in Euclid. The doors open at 7pm and you must be in the hall by 7:30pm. You may not leave until 11pm and the dance ends at 11:30pm. We will have a school photographer taking your picture for $3.00 in front of our Red Carpet theme backdrop and then sending you the digital print for you to make many copies for family and friends! Saturday, October 13, Homecoming Football game vs. St. Peter Chanel at Euclid Stadium, 7 p.m. This game will be televised on Time Warner Cable.
